Report:
Kevin
Rortvedt
states
that
things
are
going
really
well.
Everyone
should
have
gotten
their
applications
and
ticket
forms
in
the
mail
by
now,
they
are
all
mailed
out.
We
are
approx.
80
door
prize
donations
short
at
this
point.
At
next
months
club
meeting
we
will
be
collecting
the
booze
bucket
donations.
All
who
wish
to
donate
should
bring
their
bottle(s)
along
with
them
to
the
meeting.
Old
Business:
Wondering
if
we
are
going
to
do
a
Gander
Mountian
spring
brat
fry.
Last
time
we
barely
broke
even
with
costs.
We
did
not
do
this
last
year
since
the
store
did
not
due
a
spring
open
house/seminar
day.
New
Business:
Jeff
Davis
brought
along
a
hat
design
that
he
is
able
to
purchase
to
get
our
logo,
or
a
club
saying
stitched
on.
We
are
also
looking
into
getting
more
shirts/hats/jackets
made.
There
was
discussion
over
the
ownership
of
our
club
logo,
and
what
business
to
take
the
product
to
for
embroidery.
Ellen
Wells
stated
that
the
logo
was
originally
contracted
through
her
business,
Silken
Images.
Club
member
Lori
Place
was
the
designer
of
the
artwork.
We
are
going
to
look
into
a
way
to
get
ownership
of
the
logo
taken
care
of
so
members
can
show
their
membership
card
to
the
retailer
and
have
the
logo
printed
up
as
a
group
or
individual
basis.
Ty
Sennett
was
our
guest
speaker
for
the
night.
Next
months
meeting
is
going
to
be
a
lure
swap.
Please
bring
lures
to
trade/sell
to
the
March
meeting.
Meeting
is
also
going
to
be
held
at
it's
normal
time/date.

To
all
Members
of
MI:
In
the
years
ahead,
Muskies
Inc.
will
be
placing
a
major
emphasis
on
youth
fishing.
We
are
doing
this
to
promote
our
sport
and
to
ensure
the
future
of
the
muskie
fishery.
In
2011,
Muskies
Inc.,
along
with
the
Youth
Conservation
Alliance,
Phantom
Lures
and
the
Mystic
Moose
Resort
is
going
to
sponsor
a
major
Youth
Muskie
fishing
event.
This
is
open
to
all
MI
Chapters
but
space
is
limited.
We
will
be
selecting
2
or
3
kids
from
each
chapter
to
participate.
We
will
be
accepting
participants
on
a
first
come,
first
serve
basis
with
kids
(boys
&
girls)
ages
9-17.
It
is
important
to
mention
that
this
event
is
geared
towards
muskie
fishing.
However,
it
is
not
required
that
the
kids
have
caught
a
muskie
before.
This
youth
event
is
open
to
MI
members
and
non-members.
Because
of
limited
space,
only
one
parent
or
guardian
may
accompany
their
child.
Bringing
your
own
boat
is
encouraged
but
if
you
don't
have
one,
a
boat
and
guide
will
be
provided
for
you.
Some
details:
This
Youth
Muskie
Hunt
is
confirmed
for
Moose
Lake
in
Hayward,
Wisconsin.
The
dates
are
September
22-25
(3
nights).
We'll
have
room
for
about
25
kids.
We'll
also
have
about
15
pro
guides
to
support
the
line-up...
Last
year,
we
had
14
kids
catch
16
muskies
in
just
3
days.
The
cost
is
$100
per
adult
for
lodging
&
food.
Kids
are
no
charge
what-so-ever.
If
you
are
volunteering
as
a
guide,
there
is
no
charge
to
you.
There
will
be
several
professional
mini-classes
during
the
event
including
boating
safety,
muskie
handling
with
catch
&
release
tips.
Again,
all
Chapters
are
welcome
but
space
is
limited.
